Indian Congress Spokesperson Rajiv Tyagi dies of cardiac arrest



KATHMANDU: Indian National Congress leader Rajiv Tyagi died due to cardiac arrest on Wednesday.

Tyagi was party’s general secretary and spokesperson for its Uttar Pradesh unit. Tyagi died in Ghaziabad.

“We are deeply saddened by the sudden demise of Shri Rajiv Tyagi. A staunch Congressman and a true patriot. Our thoughts and prayers are with his families and friends in this time of grief,” Congress tweeted.

Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi, who is also party in charge for Uttar Pradesh East said Tyagi’s death has caused an irreparable loss to the Indian National Congress.
