Home Ministry permits to deploy 25-member APF team in Chhangru



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA) has given permission to deploy a 25-member team led by Armed Police Force (APF) Inspector Lili Bahadur Chand to Byas Rural Municiaplituy-1, Chhangru.

Preparations have been made to send the team along with necessary logistics to the remote Kalapani area on a helicopter.

On Wednesday, a NA MI-17 helicopter is scheduled to take the army to Chhangru with arms, ammunition and supplies, rations for six months and general medical supplies.

Preparations were already underway to set up a Border Outpost (BOP) in the Kalapani area for long. The troop is being sent immediately after a border dispute in the area.
