Lawmakers push govt to bring back ‘encroached’ land

KATHMANDU: Lawmakers at today’s session of the House of Representatives (HoR), drew the government’s attention towards the construction of link road unilaterally by the Indian side in Lipu Lekh by encroaching upon Nepal’s land.

They asked the government to sit for dialogue to bring back Nepal’s land.

Speaking at the Zero Hour, lawmakers demanded a high-level diplomatic initiative to sort out the border issues with India.

Lawmakers Dibyamani Rajbhandari, Bal Krishna Khand, Devendra Poudel, Dev Prasad Gurung, Dharma Shila Chapagain, Thammaya Thapa and other lawmakers criticized the construction of road by encroaching upon Nepal’s land.

Likewise, lawmakers Prakash Man Singh and Tek Bahadur Basnet asked government to ensure relief package to the daily wagers and low class community who are hit hard by the corona virus.

MPs Dr Dila Sangraula, Dipak Prasad Bhatta and Tejulal Chaudhary urged the government to rescue the Nepalis stranded in different countries due to COVID-19.
