Two arrested with bear’s bile and leopard hide



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested two persons with bear’s bile and leopard hide from Tarkeshwor of Kathmandu. They were made public today.

A team of the Metropolitan Crime Control Division had arrested the duo on Tuesday and made them public on Wednesday.

The arrestees are Bikas Tamang, 25 and Subas Lama of Nuwakot, according to Chief of the Division, Senior Superintendent of Police, Sahakul Bahadur Thapa.

Acting on a tip-off that leopard’s skin and bear’s bile is being traded, police had reached Tarkeshwor municipality.

Police said that necessary investigation was underway under National Park and Wildlife Conservation Act-2029 BS.
