Tourism Minister Bhattarai attends IMTM in Israel



KATHMANDU: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai has attended the opening ceremony of the International Mediterranean Tourism Market (IMTM) in Tel Aviv, Israel.

He is in Israel at the invitation of the Tourism Minister of the State of Israel Yariv Levin.

Minister Bhattarai visited stalls showcased by Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and other Nepali private tourism companies in the expo, the Embassy of Nepal in Tel Aviv said.

He also held a private meeting with his Israeli counterpart on the occasion during which the two ministers discussed matters of cooperation in the field of tourism and civil aviation.

Israeli Tourism Minister appreciated the initiatives of the Government of Nepal for the Visit Nepal 2020 and wished the best for its success.

Minister Bhattarai also met with Minister of Agriculture of the State of Israel Tzachi Hanegbi in Jerusalem.

He requested the Israeli side to boost the ongoing process of establishing Agricultural Centers of Excellence in Nepal.
