India seeks Nepal govt’s support to rescue an ‘abducted’ Indian girl



KATHMANDU: Indian has sent a formal letter to the Government of Nepal requesting the latter to help in rescuing a girl, who has been said to be abducted by a person holding a German passport.

The government of India, through the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, has urged Nepali authorities to stop Prativa Singh, an Indian national said to have been abducted, from flying to third country.

In the letter sent to the Nepali consular on December 17, 2019, the Indian Embassy has mentioned that a German passport holder Janardhan Adugoshi Bhittal had abducted Prathiva Singh.

The letter has been sent to Nepal’s Home Secretary Prem Kumar Rai and Ishwor Raj Poudel, Director General at the Immigration Department.
