NA approves proposal seeking consideration on ‘Railway Bill’



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the National Assembly (NA) on Sunday unanimously approved the proposal tabled seeking consideration on ‘Railway Bill-2076’.

Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Basanta Kumar Nembang, presented the proposal.

Around Rs 8 billion rupees have been allocated on the topic of railway operation in the current fiscal year 2019/20.

Responding to the lawmakers’ queries, Minister Nembang said that the railway bill was brought as per the need and demand of the time and situation.

Likewise, the meeting also unanimously approved the ‘Industrial Enterprises Development Foundation’ (First Amendment) Bill-2076 BS and sent it at Legislation Management Committee for clause-wise discussion.

Likewise, ‘National Natural Resources and Fiscal Commission’s report -2076’ has been tabled in the meeting.

The next NA meet has been scheduled for January 19.
