Hetauda appropriate as capital: CM Poudel



HETAUDA: State 3 Chief Minister Dormani Poudel today claimed it was the need to choose Hetauda as the capital of the Province-3 bearing in mind regional balance, physical infrastructure, and the issue of security sensitiveness.

Answering to the queries coming from the State Assembly members Chief Minister Poudel expressed the hope that the state government would meet the people’s aspirations for development, and fulfill the government’s responsibilities.

Refuting claims that attempts were made to hook the independence of State Assembly, CM Poudel pledged to ensure people’s security in the state, and further strengthen the federal republic and implement projects of national pride in coordination with the federal government.

The State-3 SA has a composition of 110 members — 80 from the ruling Nepal Communist Party, 22 from Nepali Congress, three from the Sajha Bibeksheel, two from Nepal Workers and Peasants’ Party, one from the Rastriya Prajatantra Party Unified, one from Rastriya Prajatantra Party and one independent.

The meeting had endorsed the CM Poudel’s proposal by over a two-third majority backed by 105 members, out of 108, present in the meeting.
