KATHMANDU: Lok Darshan Regmi, proposed Ambassador to the United Kingdom has said that he will play an important role in economic diplomacy.
During the Parliamentary Hearing Committee (PHC), he said, “I will play a role in increasing exports by reducing trade deficit to expand trade. I will discuss with the traders and industrialists in the UK.”
Regmi says that he will also play a role in bringing British technology to Nepal. He informed the committee that he would work for the protection of the interests of Nepalis and the interests of the British Gurkhas.
He also expressed his commitment to keeping it in mind while performing his duties as there is nothing for him other than the supreme interest of Nepal.
