KATHMANDU: Government of Nepal has appointed the first female as the Director-General to Department of Water Supply and Sewerage Management (DWSSM).

Minister for Water Supply appointed Meena Shrestha to the department. Earlier, she was working as the Deputy Director-General at the department.

Outgoing Director-General Sunil Kumar Das has been transferred to the ministry.
