Maiti Nepal to be honored with Sripati Social Service Award

KATHMANDU: Maiti Nepal Kathmandu is to be honoured with the ‘Sripati Social Service Prize 2077 BS ‘. The Sripati Koirala Trust, Pokhara announced the prize on Saturday.

The Maiti Nepal is being honoured with the prize carrying a purse of Rs. 222,222 in recognition of its contribution to the rescue and rehabilitation of women caught in human trafficking, sexual abuse and domestic violence, according to Chairperson of the Trust Laxman Prasad Koirala.

The award will be presented during the annual general meeting of the Trust to be held in the near future. The prize is named after social worker late Sripati Koirala of Gairepatan, Pokhara.
