Detention cell sealed after detainee tests COVID-19 positive

SURKHET: The detention cell of the District Police Office, Surkhet has been sealed after a detainee was confirmed to have contracted coronavirus.

According to the District Police Office, the cell was sealed after the coronavirus was confirmed on Friday on the detainee arrested on the charge of rape.

The man was arrested on June 28 for incest and is currently put in isolation.

According to police, swab samples of 22 people including the corona-infected perpetrator, his relatives and the victim’s family and police personnel have been sent to the laboratory for COVID-19 test.
