Coronavirus death toll reaches 4,295; spreads to 119 countries

KATHMANDU: The death toll from the coronavirus has climbed to 4,295 as the deadly virus spread to 119 countries.

According to the report, a total of 119,179 people have been infected with the novel virus globally while 66, 617  returned home after treatment across the world.

Wuhan City in the Hubei Province of China has reported a drastic decline in the number of coronavirus cases. Of the total 80,779 diagnosed with the virus, 61,481 have returned home following treatment in the country.

According to the latest report, there are only 24 new cases of coronavirus in Wuhan City while the death toll has reached 3,158.

The novel virus is fast spreading across the European Continent, currently.

Italy has been the worst-hit next to China. A total of  631 people died and 10, 149 people have been infected with the novel virus in Italy.

Similarly, 291 have died in Iran, 60 in South Korea, 33 in France, 36 in Spain, and 30 in the United States of America, according to the latest report.
