Qatari Sheikh summits Ama Dablam



KATHMANDU: Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Thani, Sheikh of Qatar has climbed Ama Dablam in Nepal’s Everest region on Wednesday morning.

A 12-member expedition including a Qatari Sheikh the peak, according to Ishwari Poudel, the Managing Director of Himalayan Guides Nepal.

According to him, the team, including six foreigners and six Nepali, reached the peak of the 6,812-metre tall peak at around 11:20 on Wednesday.

The Qatari Royal, Al Thani has already climbed the seven summits, becoming the first Qatari to achieve this feat.

Al Thani had also scaled Mt Everest on May 22, 2013.
