85 COVID-19 patients undergoing treatment in ICU, 3 on ventilator

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that 85 COVID-19 patients in Nepal are undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and three have been put on ventilator support.

The ministry said that the number of infected people undergoing treatment in the ICU has been increasing with the addition of symptomatic cases.

The number of people in home isolation has reached 224.

Gautam said that there are 1,134 ICU beds for the treatment of critically ill COVID-19 patients. Currently, there are 576 ventilators in the country.
