CM Poudel pledges to provide sufficient budget in the fight against COVID-19

HETAUDA: Bagmati State chief minister Dormani Poudel said he would not allow insufficiency of budget in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

Issuing a directive to the authorities concerned in the meeting of COVID Crisis Management Committee in Hetauda on Monday, he said now was the time to be more sensitive to the control and prevention of coronavirus as the frontline security personnel and health workers have also come under the grip of its infection lately.

The chief minister sought support from all sides to the campaign of containing the spread of virus which may cause catastrophe in the Bagmati State. He further saw the need to enforce curfew or lockdown keeping into consideration the situation of late.

The meeting attended by minister for internal affairs and law Shalikram Jamakattel, minister for industry, tourism, forest and environment Arun Nepal, chief political advisor of the chief minister JN Thapaliya and district coordination committee chief Raghunath Khulal dwelt on the policy the state government should adopt in the prevention and control of coronavirus.
