Police unveil murder-accused involved in Gongabu murder case



KATHMANDU: Police have made public the murder-accused involved in the Gongabu murder case on Tuesday.

Organizing a press meet today, Metropolitan Crime Division, Kathmandu paraded Kalpana Mudwari, alias Kalpana Shahi who murdered Krishna Bahadur Bohara of Rolpa in cold blood on Saturday night.

Kalpana during the investigation admitted to have killed Bohara by hitting him with a hammer after administering him sedatives.

According to police, after killing Bohara, the body was taken to the  bathroom and his head and legs were severed before being dumped on the roadside.

Originally from Tandi, Chitwan Kalpana has been staying at a rented flat on Nawajyoti Marga in Gongabu.

The victim had come into contact with the assailant through social networking sites.

Kalpana’s 16-year-old daughter had assisted her mother to dispose the deceased’s body, according to police.

Bohara’s torso was found in a suitcase and the head and other limbs were packed in a zebra bag 300 meters away from the place where the suitcase was found on  Sunday morning .

Kalpana had fled to Chitwan in an ambulance on Sunday evening to evade the police arrest. Police brought her on Tuesday morning after arresting her in the course of investigation.

According to police, Bohara had been staying at a hotel in Gongabu area for the last eight months.
