Former head constable kills mother-in-law in Makwanpur



MAKWANPUR: A former police official has murdered his mother-in-law in cold blood in Makwanpur district.

According to police, Padam Bahadur Nepali, the youngest son-in-law of Kanchhimaya Bomjan of Makwanpurgadhi rural municipality-1, killed Bomjan.

The assailant had been staying with his 70-year-old mother-in-law along with his wife since April 23.

Nepali, originally from Pyuthan, is a former head constable of Nepal Police.

Locals arrested him and handed over to the police, said Kamala Bomjan, a local.

Aita Singh Lama, chairman of Makwanpurgadhi rural municipality-1 said Nepali killed his mother-in-law with a sharp knife at 4 am today.

A team of police led by DSP Indra Bahadur Rana has reached the incident site.

DSP Rana said police are investigating the case after taking Nepali under control. The arrested has admitted to have murdered his mother-in-law.
