SC remains closed to mourn former justice Khatri’s demise



KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court (SC), which remained already closed for three days owing to Saturday followed by International Women’s Day and Holi, could not come into operation even on Tuesday.

Although the SC had already published the cause list, the Full Court decided to cancel the benches to observe mourning at the demise of former Justice Gopal Prasad Khatri.

Devendra Dhakal, the information official at the SC informed that the court had published the cause list consisting of 674 civil and criminal cases meant for Tuesday.

Former Justice of the apex court Khatri had died three days before when the court was on holiday.
