Domestic helper found hanging, woman covered in blood

JAWALAKHEL: Former secretary Arjun Karki’s wife was found in an unconscious condition apparently left behind after attacking her ruthlessly with an intention of killing her, said police.

Muna Karki, the wife of Arjun Karki, was found covered in a pool of blood at her own residence in Sanepa, said SP Durga Singh Karki of Metropolitan Police Range, Lalitpur.

She further said that a domestic helper was also found hanging in a room of the house. The domestic helper has been identified as Bijaya Chaudhari from Dang, said Singh.

Acting on a tip-off that the wife of former secretary Arjun Karki was brutally attacked and was lying in an unconscious state, a police team has reached the site. “They are investigating the case,” SP Singh told Khabarhub, adding, “A house worker Bijaya Chaudhari has been found hanging in a room.”

Secretary Karki told the police that he had gone to Pashupati and found both of them in a gruesome condition upon his return.

A joint team from Metropolitan Police Range, Lalitpur and Metropolitan Crime Division, Kathmandu is carrying out an investigation into the case.
