KATHMANDU: The government has promoted Joint Secretary Maniram Gelal to the post of Secretary.
A Cabinet meeting on Thursday evening promoted Joint Secretary Gelal to the Secretary on the basis of seniority, a minister said.
Gelal is currently serving as the Director-General of the Department of Urban Development and Building Construction.
The Cabinet meeting also decided to send Joint Secretary Dinesh Kumar Ghimire as Consul General to Chengdu.
