Nepal’s COVID-19 caseload reaches 23,310 with 338 fresh cases

KATHMANDU: Nepal reported 338 fresh coronavirus cases in the 24 hours, taking the national tally to 23,310, Nepal’s Ministry of Health and Population said on Monday.

Speaking at a regular press briefing this afternoon, Ministry’s Spokesperson Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said that the new cases were confirmed in 8,432 tests carried out in laboratories across the country.

A total of 16,493 have recovered across the country so far after 140 discharged from hospital and isolation centers in the last 24 hours, he shared. The recovery rate now stands at 70.7 percent.

At present, 6,738 people are in isolation and 10,759 are in quarantines.

Nepal reported four new deaths and the death toll has reached 79 he said.
