Two retired security officers arrested



KATHMANDU: Two former security officers have been arrested on Saturday during a protest against India for constructing a road to Mansarovar through Nepal’s land Lipulekh.

Police retired Brigadier General of Nepali Army Prem Singh Bansyat and retired AIG of Armed Police Force Thakur Mohan Shrestha.

They were arrested from the Maharajgunj and kept in Metropolitan Police Circle, Maharajgunj.

DIG Bishwaraj Pokharel at the Metropolitan Police Office said that they were arrested on the charge of violating the lockdown.
