22 Nepalis infected with Coronavirus in Bahrain



KATHMANDU: Ten more Nepali migrant workers have tested for Coronavirus in Bahrain on Wednesday, said the Nepali Embassy in Manama.

According to Nepali Ambassador to Bahrain Padam Sundas, the total number of Nepali migrant workers infected with Coronavirus has reached 22.

Earlier, 12 Nepalis had been diagnosed with the novel virus.

The Bahrain government has kept all the migrant workers under quarantine after a foreigner was diagnosed with Coronavirus few days ago.

The government has tightened the quarantine rule according to which those who violate it will be jailed for three months along with a fine of Bahrain Dinar 1,000 to 10,000.

The government has restricted all public functions and mass meetings. Meanwhile, all schools and colleges, salon and gym and public places have been shut down to stem the spread of the novel virus.
