Indian national arrested in Nepal for hundi transaction

PARSA: Police have arrested an Indian national on the charge of his alleged involvement in illegal money transfer called hundi.

Acting on a tip-off, Indian national Suresh Mahato was arrested with Rs 550,000.

According to police, Mahato was arrested while he was heading to Birgunj from Raxaul on a motorcycle with Indian registration number, BR 05 AA 7319.

Police said that further investigation was underway.
