19-yr-old held for hacking Foodmandu data



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a hacker for breaching the database of the Foodmandu, an online food delivery company.

The Cyber ​​Bureau of Nepal Police has arrested Dinesh Tiwari.

The bureau has identified 19-year-old hacker Tiwari through a special operation ‘Hackers Hunt’ conducted by the bureau.

Tiwari from West Sunwal municipality in Nawalparasi district was currently living in Ranibari, Kathmandu.

Tiwari had made the data public by giving unauthorized access to Foodmandu’s site on February 9 last year. According to the Bureau, he has committed an offense under the section 9 of the Electronic Transactions Act 2063.

The Bureau has arrested Tiwari following an arrest warrant issued by the Kathmandu District Court.
Under Hacker Hunt, the bureau has already arrested three hackers who hacked the Public Service Commission’s servers.
