KATHMANDU: The government has appointed Hitendra Dev Shakya as the acting Managing Director (MD) of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).
The Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation on Monday appointed Shakya as the acting Managing Director of the Authority.
Earlier, Shakya was a Managing Director of the NEA Engineering Company, a subsidiary company. He is considered as expert in the transmission line.
The ministry had assigned senior deputy MD Lekhnath Koirala with the responsibilities of the NEA acting MD.
The NEA had been headless since former MD Kulman Ghising retired from the post after completing a four-year term on September 14.
