Ireland-Nepal Chamber of Commerce formed

KATHMANDU: The ‘Ireland-Nepal Chamber of Commerce’ has been formed in chairmanship of Vincent Barry, a noted entrepreneur in Ireland.

On a virtual event held yesterday, Nepali Ambassador to Ireland Durga Bahadur Subedi made announcement for the same.

The newly formed committee has Dipeshman Shakya as its executive chief, Pro Dorak Turley, Jivan Timalsina, Ganesh Prasai and Nawaraj Koirala as vice-presidents.

Similarly, Prakash Mali, Bal Krishna Shrestha, Rajan Kafle, Alan Marshal Sanka and Om Adhikari have been selected as directors of the committee.

Likewise, Ellison Erwin has been selected as general-secretary, Chandrakala Niraula and others as deputy general-secretary.

Binod Karki, Rob Matel, Tony Nation, Sher Rinan among others have been selected as members.

On the occasion, Ambassador Subedi expressed his confidence that the Chamber would help bring in Irish investment in Nepal and expand the market for Nepali goods and services in Ireland.

Further, the Nepali Ambassador held the belief that it would help in promotion of Nepal’s tourism in Ireland.

The newly elected president of the chamber Barry recalled that he was always a true friend to Nepal and the chamber will be ever active in bolstering the bilateral trade between Nepal and Ireland and other cooperation.
