75 including nine cops diagnosed with COVID-19 in Parsa

BIRGUNJ: Parsa district in Province 2 that has emerged as a coronavirus hotspot recorded 75 fresh cases on Saturday night.

Test carried out at the laboratory of Narayani Hospital confirmed infection in 75 people including nine police personnel. Among them, three are permanent residents of Bara and one of Sarlahi.

Chief Medical Superintended of Narayani Hospital Dr. Madan Kumar Upadhyaya said that among the newly-infected are 15 females and remaining males.

He added that coronavirus was confirmed in 29 people in course of contact tracing.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Manoj Kunwar, nine policemen at the District Police Office, Parsa have been confirmed to have the infection in the test conducted last night.
