KATHMANDU: ‘Enough is Enough’ campaigner Iih broke his fast-unto-death after 23 days on Sunday morning after a new agreement reached with the Ministry of Health and Population.
An agreement was inked between the campaigner and a representative of the Ministry of Health at HAMS Hospital. Iih was admitted to the hospital after his health condition had worsened on the 17th day of the hunger strike.
Demanding effective management of COVID-19, Iih had started the hunger strike for the second time.
Earlier, Iih and another campaigner Pukar Bam had staged a fast-unto-death at Patan Durbar Square. On the 12th day of the strike, they had broken their fast-unto-death after reaching an agreement with the government.
Iih had started another fast-unto-death at Basantapur in Kathmandu after the agreement was not enforced.
