India reports 1,889 deaths, 56, 351 infection cases



KATHMANDU: The death toll in India from Coronavirus pandemic has climbed to 1,889 after 104 died in the last 24 hours.

With 3,364 new cases, the number of infection cases has reached 56, 351 as of Friday morning.

Currently, 37, 686 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country while 16, 776 have returned home after recovery. The India government has performed tests on 1,357,413 people for Coronavirus so far.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 212 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 270,352 and infecting 3,912,425 people as of Friday morning.
