India lifts ban on 24 drugs except for paracetamol

KATHMANDU: India government has lifted its ban imposed on various 24 medications and its raw materials except for paracetamol.

According to Directorate General of Foreign Trade, India, the ban on 24 drugs including Vitamin B 1, Vitamin B 6, Vitamin B 12, metronidazole, ornidazole, Neomycin, chloramphenicol, Erythromycin has been lifted.

According to Indian media, the ban on paracetamol and other drugs falling under its group, however, will continue.

India on March 3 had decided to impose a ban on 26 different drugs for the fear that the infection of coronavirus cases might increase in the country.
