AFP constable shoots himself in neck

SARLAHI: An Armed Police Force (APF) man has been injured after he shot himself while on duty.

He has been identified as Anand Mishra of around 30 years. Mishra, posted at the APF No 10 Battalion, Kabilasi shot on his neck by an SLR, APF Superintendent of Police Binod Raj Shrestha said.

Mishra, the resident of Balara municipality in Sarlahi, has been referred to Birgunj for further treatment from the District Hospital Malangawa.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
