Coronavirus health desk set up at Lukla Airport



SOLUKHUMBU: A coronavirus health desk has been set up at Tenzing Hillary Airport located in Lukla as a precautionary measure against COVID-19.

The heath desk that was established at Lukla, the gateway to Mount Everest, on Saturday has started screening passengers for COVID-19.

On the first day, heath workers screened 48 passengers.

The health desk was has been established at the airport for the adoption of precaution against COVID-19 in view of the passengers’ flow from different countries, mainly mountaineers and trekkers.

Tenzing Hillary Airport Chief Imannath Adhikari said that two health workers have been mobilized at the health desk.

Any passengers showing symptoms similar to COVID-19 will be sent to Kathmandu for treatment.
