BARA: A man accused of murdering journalist Birendra Sha has been arrested 12 years after the incident.

Acting on a tip-off, police arrested Kundan Faujdar from his residence in Baragadhi Rural Municipality-6 on Saturday night.

According to District Police Office, Bara, Faujdar will be made public amid a press conference on Sunday.

Sha was abducted by the then Maoists revels from Pipara Bazaar in Kalaiya located in the central region of Nepal on October 5, 2007 and subsequently beaten to death.

Sha was found dead in a jungle some 160 kilometers from the capital one month after the abduction.

Police had already arrested two including Hareram Patel for the murder.
