Govt’s political motive behind corruption case: Singh

CHITWAN: Nepali Congress leader Prakash Man Singh has accused the government of working with political bias. Letting off those in supreme power in Lalita Niwas land scam is guided by political motive, he blamed.

Talking to media persons here today, leader Singh wondered why the government let off then prime minister and others having land ownership certificate in connection with Lalita Niwas land scam and filed corruption case against others?

“Supreme Commander of the Council of Ministers is Prime Minister. So, he has a major role in Cabinet’s decision. CIAA was influenced by government and was afraid to file a case against those owing land,” he added.

Leader Singh further said NC demands action to then prime minister and those with land ownership certificate.

On a different note, he said NC was preparing itself for the 14th general convention of the party. For making the convention free and fair, the committee was formed to study the active membership.
