NC top leaders to meet today as well

KATHMANDU: In a bid to resolve the intra-party differences, the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) has been holding meeting of senior party leaders in recent times.

Party President Sher Bahadur Deuba has been convening regular meetings of top leaders to address the dispute. He has also called a meeting of the top leaders today as well at his residence in Budanilakantha.

It should be noted that the disgruntled faction led by NC Senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel and others have been expressing their grudges against Deuba’s working style.

They have also expressed the suspicion over Deuba’s intention not to hold the general convention on time, among others, which also include term extension of the sister organizations.

Despite immense pressure from the disgruntled faction, NC President Deuba has been rigid to his stance without heeding much to the demands.

The party is holding its central committee meeting on Monday.

The faction led by Poudel has also been demanding distribution of active membership to newcomers as well.
