Former UML leader Lama dies



KATHMANDU: The then central committee member of the erstwhile CPN-UML Bir Bahadur Lama has died.

Lama had represented Makawanpur’s constituency-2 to the House of Representatives in the 1999 elections.

He was suffering from pneumonia and a patient of kidney ailment.

Lama, who was admitted to Patan Hospital on Monday last week after experiencing symptoms of pneumonia, died in the course of treatment at the hospital this morning, his family sources said.

He, however, had tested negative for coronavirus.
