One killed in jeep accident in Baitadi



BAITADI: A person died in a jeep accident in Baitadi.

The deceased has been identified as Bir Bahadur Kunwar, 33, of Kafalkot in Dogadakedar Rural Municipality-2, said Baitadi Police Chief Narayan Prasad Adhikari.

The Bolero jeep – Ga 1 Ja 5192 — heading towards Kafalkot from Dogadakedar-3 Sillegada met with an accident at a post office last night.

Deepak Chand, 23, of Dogadakedar-3, Shrikot has been injured in the accident. He is undergoing treatment at the District Hospital, Baitadi.

It is said that there were only two passengers in the jeep. The jeep fell some 40 meters down the road, police said.

The cause of the accident has not been revealed. The incident is being investigated, police said.
