Two, including former national VP of Nepal Jaycees, succumb to coronavirus



KATHMANDU: Former village development committee secretary and former chairman of Bhadrapur Jaycees, Jhapa, Kumud Chandra Jha has died of corona infection.

Jha, 63, a resident of Bhadrapur-5, died at his home at 4:15 am this morning, according to Jeevan Chaulagain, Corona Focal Person of Health Office, Jhapa.

Chaulagain said the report of the PCR test conducted at Mechi Provincial Hospital, Bhadrapur on November 6 had come positive.

Jha was the president of Bhadrapur JC in 1996 and former national vice president of Nepal Jaycees.

Likewise, a 56-year-old man of Liwang Municipality-4, Rolpa succumbed to coronavirus in Nepalgunj.

According to Naresh Shrestha, official at the District Health Office, Banke, the person was brought to the Reugha Hospital due to health complications.

He was then brought to Kohalpur Medical College on October 30 where his swab was tested.

He died at 12.10 am on Saturday.

As many as 29 people have died so far in Banke district.
