17 more diagnosed coronavirus positive in Karnali



SURKHET: Coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 17 people in Karnali Province in the last 24 hours.

The new cases were found in tests conducted at the Province Hospital/Avian Disease Investigation Laboratory.

According to Brish Bahadur Shahi, Chief of the Health Services Division under the Karnali Province Ministry of Social Development, 11 people from Surkhet, two from Dailekh, one each from Kalikot, Bardiya and Banke have been found positive.

The coronavirus tally in the province has reached 2,691 with the new cases.

On Tuesday, 23 people returned home after recovering from various hospitals and isolation centers, said Shahi.

The number of people recovering from the infection has reached 2,340 and there are currently 345 under isolation.
