No active COVID-19 cases in Nepal’s seven districts, over 500 cases in four

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that seven districts out of 77 districts in Nepal have no active cases of coronavirus till Saturday afternoon.

According to the ministry, all the COVID-19 infected in Bhojpur, Sankhuwasabha, Manang, Mustang, Khotang, Dolpa and Humla have recovered and returned home.

Meanwhile, Parsa, Mahottari, Rautahat and Kathmandu have over 500 active cases.

A total of 378 people were diagnosed with the coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

Speaking at a regular press briefing this afternoon, Ministry’s Spokesperson Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said that the new cases have taken the COVID-19 caseload to 22,592.

Nepal’s death toll stands at 73 after three new deaths reported, Spokesperson Dr. Gautam said.
