Landslide damages Sanfe-Martadi road



MARTADI: The incessant rainfall occurred in Bajura for some days has caused landslides, damaging Sanfe-Martadi road in different places. With this, the vehicular movement has been disrupted.

The roadway has also been depressed with the erosion of soil by local stream at Budhiganga and Dwari.

Landslides occurred at Paninaula, Tipada and Olena along the roadway. Deputy Superintendent of Police at District Police Office, Tanka Prasad Bhattarai, said the debris was being cleared at Paninaula now.

A local Sushil Thapa said it has very difficult for transportation and travel as the landslip continued though the debris was being cleared at different parts.

The movement to and from Martadi, Humla and Mugu has been badly affected with the obstruction on road. It will result in shortage of daily essentials and medicines.
