India to implement seven community development projects in Nepal



KATHMANDU: The government of India is set to implement seven community development projects in Nepal following the signing of a memorandum of understanding.

The agreement was signed on Wednesday between Nepal’s Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration and the Embassy of India in Kathmandu.

Under the projects, a cold storage facility will be constructed at Madhyabindu Municipality–2 in Nawalpur District and another at Laligurans Municipality–2 in Terhathum District.

Similarly, infrastructure will be developed in the education sector, including the construction of a school building, hostel and dining hall at Janabal Secondary School in Gharapjhong Rural Municipality–2 of Mustang District, and a building for Kalika Primary School in Gauriganga Municipality–11 of Kailali District.

Additional projects include the construction of a maternity center building in Paroha Municipality–4 of Rautahat District, a building for Kasturi Secondary School in Tripurasundari Municipality–7 of Dolpa District, and a building for Janakalyan Secondary School in Khajura Rural Municipality–4 of Banke District.
