Minister Biswokarma blames lawmaker Yadav for his speech

KATHMANDU: Youth and Sports Minister Jagat Bahadur Bishwokarma has accused lawmaker Pradip Yadav for hurting him with his allegations.

Speaking at the session of the Federal Parliament on June 3, Yadav had commented on the controversial statement made by All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) President Karma Chhiring Sherpa targeting the Terai, and  ANFA loved the Minister.

He also linked the minister to the fact that ANFA has allocated Rs 170 million for the construction of a multi-purpose academy in Pokhara for the coming fiscal year.

Stating that the issue has killed his personal character, the minister said on Monday, “The minister is loved by ANFA.” Rs 170 million has been given by ANFA. This is not what I said, this is what he said. What did it mean? The person concerned had to clarify.”

The minister further added, “This is a serious matter. I want to challenge him to confirm what he said. I have not taken money from anyone.”

Stating that he was not aware of the project being constructed by ANFA in Pokhara, the minister said, “I have heard that ANFA is going to build an Academy.”

Minister Bishwokarma also demanded to remove the audio from the record of the parliament as it will affect his personal life as well.
