CIAA nabs two cops with Rs 8,000 bribe

BUTWAL: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested two police personnel with bribe money.

A CIAA team from Butwal nabbed them with Rs 8,000 kickback on Friday afternoon.

ASI Surya Bahadur Adhikari at Ramnagar Traffic Police office was arrested with Rs 5,000 bribe. Adhikari had received the bribe from tipper drivers assuring to facilitate their smooth operations.

Likewise, police constable Chhabi Lal Pokharel deployed at Khaireni Police Post was nabbed with Rs 3,000 bribe.

He too had received the kickback from tipper drivers.
