CIAA abuses its own authority: Min Bishwokarma

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress Lawmaker Min Bahadur Bishwokarma has said that the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) abused its own authority by filing a case against Nepali Congress Vice President Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar.

Speaking at the parliament Bishwokarma lashed out at the anti-graft body for filing the case against NC leader Gachchhadar arguing that he is innocent in Lalita Niwas land grab scam.

NC has been disrupting parliament meetings since yesterday.

Bishwokarma further said NC lawmakers will not let the parliament run unless the case is withdrawn. The meeting was deferred for half an hour following disruption by the NC.

The anti-graft body on Wednesday filed cases against 175 individuals including Gachchhadar in Lalita Niwas land scam.
