Deuba’s return date to Nepal changed

KATHMANDU: Former Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba’s return date to Nepal has been changed.

Deuba, who was previously scheduled to arrive in Kathmandu on the night of August 11, will now land at 12:30 pm on August 13, according to Nepali Congress leader Prakash Sharan Mahat.

Mahat said Deuba will arrive on a Thai Airways flight. The arrival time was changed as welcoming him at night would be difficult.

Deuba, who has been undergoing medical treatment in Singapore and Hong Kong, is also preparing to address the national gathering of the Nepali Congress establishment-opposition faction scheduled to begin in Kathmandu on August 14.
