Kathmandu Valley sees 1,684 fresh COVID-19 cases

KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Valley has reported 1,684 fresh cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours retaining its position as one of the fastest growing coronavirus hub in the country.

According to Prof. Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population, the Valley saw 1,296 COVID-19 cases in Kathmandu, 293 in Lalitpur and 95 in Bhaktapur on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Nepal recorded a total of 3,439 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

With this, the total number of coronavirus infections has reached 94,253.

A total of 11,13,486 PCR tests have been carried out so far.

On the occasion, it was shared that a total of 1,126 people returned home after recovery from coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

With this, the number of people discharged after recovery has reached 11,13,486. The recovery percentage as of today is 72.9  percent.

Nepal currently has 25,007 active cases.
