Five including Police Inspector injured in Dhanusha clash



JANAKPURDHAM: Five people, including a Police Inspector, have been injured in a clash between police and locals that was ensued after a heated debate.

A dispute had erupted while transporting logs floating in Orahi River in Santipur of Bateshwor Rural Municipality-5 of Dhanusha.

Two policemen and three locals of the Area Police Office, Sakhuwa Mahendranagar, were injured in the clash ensued after an argument broke out between the locals and the police.

Police Inspector Deepak Rai and constable Ram Bishwas have been injured in the clash.

According to Deputy Inspector of Police MD Mustafa at Area Police Office, Sakhuwa Mahendranagar, the injured police inspector and the constable are undergoing treatment at a clinic.

The injured locals are undergoing treatment at Janaki Medical College Teaching Hospital in Ramdaiya.
